I feel very dubious about lawyers and the whole system, so I cannot tell you how relieved I was to find a law firm that I could really trust! And not just trust with a little thing, but with the most important things in my whole world: my kid, my family, my legacy after I’m gone. They handled my divorce and parenting agreement with such clarity, such integrity- they really made it as easy as it could possibly be. AND!!! they talked to me like a real human being who was intelligent, grown, and capable of making really hard decisions that would impact my life. The office is a kind and welcoming environment. I was greeted from the first moment, and it makes all the difference. I also prioritize businesses that are woman-owned, LGBTQ+ affirming, and local- not just chain repeats of corporate monsters. I have seen these attorneys fight for our communities in the most public and most private of spheres. They put their money, their time, their brilliance, their creativity and their resources where their mouth is. They are not just here to suck the money out of clients. I feel like they really care about us- about me and my family, and the many others in our community who have been helped by this firm in the most tender and most important legal proceedings of our lives. And, if you are new to town, you should know that they are kind of famous in our community. Thank you Milan & Meredith for being our champions, our defenders, our allies. I feel so much safer as a queer, brown mama knowing that y’all are on our side and there to help. I just can’t thank you enough!
